There are treatment options for glaucoma other than glaucoma eye drops. Selective laser trabeculoplasty (SLT) is one of those options.

This is a type of laser eye surgery that treats open angle glaucoma and other secondary glaucomas (pigmentary, pseudoexfoliative). The laser is applied to an area inside of the eye (trabecular meshwork) to improve the flow of fluid from the eye. The procedure usually takes less than 10 minutes.
