Our Services

Your Physicians Eye Clinic doctor can provide the full spectrum of eye and vision care. Our services for children and adults include:

Routine eye exams

We perform comprehensive eye exams to ensure the best possible health of your eyes. This includes measuring your refraction, reviewing your medical history, assessing the function of your pupil and ocular muscles, intraocular pressure measurement and a detailed exam of your eyes.

Fitting for glasses

Whether you need reading glasses, distance glasses or progressive lenses, we’ll ensure the best vision solution for you. For instance, we see many patients in their early 40s who begin struggling with reading small print. We are more than happy to help fit glasses for this dreaded rite of passage!

Acute eye care

Call us for eye emergencies, including scratches to the eye, chemical injuries, blunt injury, pink eye infections, broken blood vessels and more.

Contact lenses

Proper contact lens fit is crucial to ensure long-term safety for contact lens wearers. That’s why our doctors oversee our contact lens department and work in close consultation with our Contact Lens Technician.

Glaucoma care

Our glaucoma services include full evaluation of all patients for the risk of glaucoma, including IOP (intraocular pressure, visual fields, OCT™ nerve fiber layer analysis and optic nerve evaluation). We also help patients manage their glaucoma through a variety of treatment options, including eye drops, specialized laser treatments and surgery when necessary.

Age-related macular degeneration (AMD)

In addition to performing retinal eye exams to screen for AMD, we regularly monitor our AMD patients with macular exams, as well as specialized OCT analysis and angiography as indicated. We advise patients on the latest research regarding AREDS vitamin supplementation and work closely with our retina colleagues if more extensive retinal services are needed.

Diabetic exams

During our regular ophthalmic exams, we check the entire eye for possible complications from diabetes. We update patients’ primary care physicians with our findings to help ensure the best medical treatments for our diabetic patients.

Cataracts

As part of our regular eye exams, we screen for the development of cataracts. When needed, we perform state-of-the-art cataract surgery. Our post-operative cataract patients are managed by the board-certified eye surgeon who performed the surgery, rather than co-managed by an optometrist during the post-operative period.

Droopy eyelids

In addition to evaluating the eyes themselves during eye exams, we also evaluate the eyelids. Patients who have droopy eyelids may have loss of peripheral vision. We use state-of-the-art technology to evaluate the amount of peripheral vision loss. We perform lid surgeries for droopy eyelids and droopy eyebrows, including blepharoplasty, ptosis surgery, ectropion repair, entropion repair and brow lifts.

Lasik

Lasik reshapes the inner layers of the cornea to correct mild and moderate degrees of nearsightedness, farsightedness and astigmatism. Topical anesthetic drops are used to numb the eye for the procedure, which takes just about four to five minutes to complete. Patients are often amazed at the ease of the procedure’s speed and comfort.
